Dashboard
The Dashboard is the first page you see after signing in (unless you’re a driver — see the note below). By the end of this page you can run a morning status check of your whole operation in under a minute, drill from any headline number down to the shipments or invoices behind it, and jump straight into the day’s work.
Read your operation at a glance
Section titled “Read your operation at a glance”Across the top, a grid of KPI cards summarizes your business:
- Active Shipments — shipments currently booked, picked up, at a hub, out for delivery, or in transit, with a note of how many have been delivered.
- Exceptions — shipments flagged with an “exception” status that need your attention.
- Open Receivables — the total balance still owed on sent, partial, or overdue invoices, with a count of how many are overdue.
- Pending Quotes — quotes you’ve sent to customers that are awaiting a response.
- Customers and Carriers — total counts of each.
- Available Drivers and Available Vehicles — how many of your drivers/vehicles are currently marked available, out of your total fleet.
Scenario: it’s 8 a.m. and you’re the dispatcher opening up for the day. One pass across the cards tells you what the day looks like: how many loads are moving, whether anything has hit exception status overnight, and whether you have enough available drivers and vehicles to cover new bookings.
Drill into the numbers
Section titled “Drill into the numbers”Every KPI card is clickable. Selecting a card opens a detail panel on the right with the underlying list — for example:
- Select Active Shipments. The panel lists every shipment in that state.
- Select any shipment in the list. Its full detail opens — route, schedule, cargo, financials, and tracking timeline.
The same pattern works for the other cards: click Open Receivables to see the invoices behind the total, Pending Quotes to see which quotes are still waiting on customers, and so on.
Scenario: month-end is coming and the Open Receivables card shows several invoices overdue. Click the card, scan the list for the overdue ones, and you know exactly which customers to chase — without building a report.
Below the cards
Section titled “Below the cards”Under the KPI grid you’ll find:
- A Status Breakdown bar chart of all your shipments by status — click any bar to see just those shipments. This is the fastest way to answer “how many loads are sitting in draft?” or “what’s out for delivery right now?”.
- A Recent Shipments list showing your six most recently created shipments, with a link to view all shipments — handy for picking up where you (or a colleague) left off.
- A Truckers by City panel showing how your drivers are distributed geographically — click a city to see which drivers are based there. Useful when you need to cover a pickup and want to know who’s already in the area.
- Quick nav tiles for jumping straight to Shipments, Invoices, Quotes, or Routes.
How the numbers are computed
Section titled “How the numbers are computed”The dashboard’s KPI cards and charts are computed live in your browser each time you open the page. When the Dashboard loads, it fetches your current shipments, customers, carriers, invoices, quotes, drivers, and vehicles, then counts and totals them on the spot — for example, “Active Shipments” is simply a count of shipments whose status is one of the in-progress values, and “Open Receivables” sums the outstanding balance across every sent, partial, or overdue invoice (converting different currencies to a common base first).
Logistall separately keeps a daily KPI snapshot in the background (a once-a-day summary of shipment counts, on-time percentage, revenue, cost, and fleet status per tenant) for historical trend reporting. That snapshot system is independent of this dashboard — the cards you see here are always computed fresh, not read from the daily snapshot.
