How work flows through Logistall

A single shipment passes through several pairs of hands before it’s done — someone prices it, someone books and moves it, someone gets paid for it. This page walks through that whole journey in one place and shows where one role hands off to the next, so you can see exactly where your own day fits into the bigger picture. Where the handoffs happen

Three moments in the lifecycle are handoffs between people, and each one has a small habit that keeps the chain traceable:

1. Quote → booking. The owner or data admin marks the quote accepted; the dispatcher then creates the shipment by hand with the same customer, route, mode, and pricing — Logistall doesn’t convert it automatically (Quotes & Rate Cards).
2. Dispatch → driver. The dispatcher assigns the vehicle and driver on the route; the load then appears on that driver’s My Loads page, sorted by scheduled delivery date (Driver App).
3. Delivery → invoicing. When the driver moves the shipment to delivered, Logistall creates an in-app notification on the status change — that’s the accountant’s cue to raise the invoice (Finance).

Tip

Carry the quote number into the shipment’s customer reference when you book it. It’s the thread that lets anyone trace a delivered, invoiced shipment back to the price that was originally agreed.

Note

Every shipment status change — whoever makes it, from the office or from the road — automatically creates an in-app notification for the team. Nobody has to announce a handoff; the system does it.

Scenario: a customer asks for a price on a load. The owner opens a quote, uses the Calculate section to match it against an active rate card, and sends it. The customer agrees, so the quote is marked accepted. The dispatcher books the shipment with the quote’s details, assigns a vehicle and driver on the route, checks the load plan fits, and books a dock appointment. The driver works the load from My Loads, logging tracking events city by city until the status hits delivered — which notifies the office. The accountant creates the invoice, downloads the PDF, sends it, and records the payment when it lands. One load, four people, no meetings.
