Getting Started

Logistall is a web application — there’s nothing to install. By the end of this page you can sign in for the first time, lock your account down with two-factor authentication, get yourself back in if you ever forget your password or get locked out, and move around the app fast enough to answer a question while a customer is still on the phone.

Logging in

Scenario: you’re a new dispatcher on your first day. Your administrator has set up your account and handed you an email address and a temporary password.

1. Open the Logistall app URL in your browser. You land on the sign-in screen.
2. Enter the email address and password your administrator gave you.
3. Select Sign In.

If your password is wrong, or the account doesn’t exist, you’ll see an “Invalid credentials” message. If you’ve forgotten your password, use the Forgot password? link below the sign-in form (see Forgot password).

Caution

Don’t keep retrying a password you’re unsure of — 5 failed attempts in a row locks the account for 15 minutes (see Account lockout). If the temporary password you were given doesn’t work, go back to your administrator instead of guessing.

First login (forced password change)

If your administrator created your account for you, you were given a one-time temporary password. The first time you sign in with it, Logistall interrupts you with a Change Password screen — you cannot reach the dashboard or any other page until you set a new password of your own.

1. Enter your current (temporary) password.
2. Enter your new password twice to confirm it. It must be at least 8 characters long, and the two entries must match.
3. Save.

You’re taken into the app normally and won’t be asked again unless an administrator resets your account.

Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a one-time code from an authenticator app on top of your password, so a stolen password alone isn’t enough to get into your account. It’s optional but recommended — especially for anyone with access to finance data or user management. You turn it on from My Organization → Security, not from the login screen.

Turn 2FA on

1. On the My Organization page, find the Security section and select Enable.
2. A QR code appears. Scan it with an authenticator app on your phone (Google Authenticator, Authy, or similar).
3. Enter the 6-digit code your app shows and select Verify.
4. Logistall shows you 10 recovery codes, each in the format xxxx-xxxx. Save them somewhere safe before you close this screen.

Caution

The recovery codes are shown once. If you lose access to your authenticator app and haven’t saved them, there’s no self-service way back in — an administrator will have to help restore your access. Store them before closing the screen.

Sign in with 2FA on

Once 2FA is active, sign-in gains a second step: after your password is accepted, Logistall asks for a code.

1. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app, or
2. Select the option to use a recovery code instead and enter one of your saved xxxx-xxxx codes.

Note

Each recovery code works only once. If you’re burning through them because you lost your authenticator app, sort out a new authenticator setup before they run out.

Turn 2FA off

Back on My Organization → Security, select Disable and confirm with a current code (from your app or a recovery code).

Forgot password

Scenario: you’re back from two weeks of leave and your password is gone from memory.

1. On the sign-in screen, select Forgot password?.
2. Enter your email address. Logistall always shows the same confirmation message regardless of whether that email has an account, so you won’t be able to tell from this screen alone whether an account exists.
3. If an account matches, you’ll receive an email with a reset link that’s valid for one hour. Open it promptly.
4. On the reset page, set a new password — at least 8 characters, entered twice to confirm.
5. Sign in with your new password.

Tip

A successful password reset also clears any account lockout — so if you’re locked out and unsure of your password, resetting it solves both problems at once instead of waiting out the 15 minutes.

Account lockout

Logistall locks an account after 5 failed sign-in attempts in a row, for 15 minutes. While locked, sign-in attempts fail even with the correct password.

The lockout clears in either of two ways:

• Wait — it lifts automatically once the 15 minutes pass.
• Reset your password — completing a password reset (see Forgot password) clears the lockout immediately.

A successful sign-in also resets the failed-attempt count back to zero, so occasional typos don’t accumulate toward a lockout.

Navigating the app

Once you’re signed in, two tools cover almost all your navigation: the sidebar for browsing by area, and global search for jumping straight to a specific record.

Browse with the sidebar

The sidebar on the left is your main way of getting around. It’s organized into groups — Operations, Partners, Fleet, Tariffs & Quotes, Finance, and so on — and only shows the sections you have permission to see, so your sidebar may look different from a colleague’s. On narrower screens the sidebar becomes a slide-out drawer, opened with the menu (hamburger) button in the top bar.

Note

If a section you expect is missing from your sidebar, it’s not a bug — either your role doesn’t include it, or your company has turned that module off. See the FAQ for how to tell which.

Jump straight to a record with global search

Scenario: a customer calls asking about their shipment, and all you have is the shipment number. Instead of opening the Shipments page and filtering, jump straight there.

1. Press Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K on a Mac) from anywhere in the app to open the global search box.
2. Type at least two characters. Logistall searches shipments, customers, invoices, and drivers at once, grouping the results by type.
3. Use the arrow keys and Enter to jump straight to a result, or Escape to close the search.

Tip

Global search works from any page — you don’t need to navigate anywhere first. Make Ctrl+K a habit and you’ll rarely touch the sidebar for lookups.

Working with tables

Scenario: you’re on the Shipments page and the table has more columns than fit your screen, or you want to jump from a shipment straight to its linked order without retyping the order number.

Every table in Logistall (Orders, Shipments, Missions, and more) supports the same set of controls:

1. Scroll sideways — if a table is wider than its panel, left/right arrow buttons appear at the edges. Select one, or click and drag the table background, to pan across the columns.
2. Resize a column — hover the right edge of a column header until the cursor changes, then drag to widen or narrow it.
3. Reorder columns — drag a column header left or right to move it. Use the lock button above the table to prevent accidental drags when you’re just trying to click a header to sort.
4. Reset the layout — if your custom widths or order get in the way, select Reset layout in the Columns panel to go back to the defaults.
5. Ctrl+click a cell — hold Ctrl (or Cmd on a Mac) and click a cell to either filter the table by that value or jump straight to the linked record (for example, Ctrl+click a shipment count on Orders to open Shipments pre-filtered to that order). Cells that support this highlight in blue while you hold Ctrl.

Note

Your column widths and order are remembered per table, so you only need to set them up once.

Language & theme

At the bottom of the sidebar you’ll find controls for language, currency display, and theme:

• Language — Logistall is available in English, French, and Arabic (Arabic displays right-to-left). Switch languages from the globe icon.
• Theme — the theme picker lets you choose an accent color and switch between light, dark, or system-matched appearance.

Your choices are remembered for your next visit, so set them once and forget them.
