Driver workflows

As Driver, you sign in to a deliberately small slice of Logistall — just My Loads (your assigned shipments) and My Vehicle (your truck). None of the office pages appear; signing in takes you straight to My Loads instead of a dashboard. Everything you do from the road feeds the same timeline your dispatcher and the customer are watching.

  1. Open My Loads to see your assigned shipments — the list shows only loads assigned to you, sorted by scheduled delivery date, soonest first (Driver App).
  2. For each load, check the shipment number, your customer reference, its current status, and its scheduled delivery date.
  1. Select Update on a shipment in My Loads to open the update drawer (Driver App).
  2. As you progress, log tracking events (pickup, departure, arrival, in transit, out for delivery, delivered, or exception) with a city and an optional description — this feeds the timeline the office and the customer’s tracking link see (Driver App).
  3. Advance the shipment status as the trip progresses — from booked through pickup scheduled, in transit, at hub, out for delivery, to delivered (with exception and returned when things go sideways); the office is notified automatically on each change (Driver App).

Scenario: you’re loaded and rolling out of the yard. From Update on the load, you log a pickup event with the city, then set the status to in transit — the office gets notified without a call. Hitting a customs delay mid-route, you log an exception event with a short description so the dispatcher sees it on the timeline immediately. At the destination you log delivered, set the status to delivered, and the accountant’s invoice trigger fires on its own.

  1. Open My Vehicle to see the single truck assigned to you — plate, type, make, model, status, and odometer (Driver App).
  2. Update its status (available, on route, maintenance, retired, or inspecting) as your situation changes — the Fleet Map’s colour-coding for the office comes from this.
  3. Update the odometer reading so maintenance and fuel records stay honest.

These are the only two vehicle fields you can change; everything else about the vehicle record is managed by dispatchers or admins from the Fleet pages. If no vehicle is assigned to you, the page shows a message instead of a form (Driver App).

You don’t record expenses in the driver app — office staff handle that; keep your receipts and hand them in. Everything else in Logistall — quotes, invoices, fleet admin — lives with the office roles (Workflows overview).
